When Olympic marathoner Kara Goucher went public in 2015 with her accusation that her former mentor, the legendary Alberto Salazar, experienced skirted antidoping regulations with the elite runners of the Nike Oregon Venture, she experienced an onslaught of criticism. The blowback established her back monetarily and competitively—and made her wonder if she experienced made a horrible error.
