NLM Associate Fellows 2021-2022

The National Library of Medicine (NLM), a leader in analysis in biomedical informatics and information science, and the world’s major biomedical library, is delighted to announce our 2021-2022 class of Associate Fellows.

The Associate Fellowship Program will begin in September and provide a robust academic and management working experience ranging from official lectures and presentations to assignments in operations, analysis and growth, coverage, and information examination, all inside of the context of the part of a national library on the national and worldwide phase. The 2021-2022 fellowship 12 months will be conducted remotely.

Luke Kudryashov headshot

Luke Kudryashov received his MSI from the University of Michigan in May well 2021. Although finishing his degree, Luke worked as an accessibility expert and UX assistant at the HathiTrust Digital Library and as a Rackham Community Engagement Fellow at Michigan Publishing. Luke also designed a COVID-19 misinformation taxonomy for an internship with Tattle Civic Systems and Microsoft Research India, conducted person analysis for the Town of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation, and served as a graduate college student instructor for programs in the Women’s Scientific studies Department and the English Department Crafting Program at UM. Luke also served on a number of advisory boards at UM, such as the Provost’s Inclusion Variety Equity and Accessibility (Thought) Board and the Scholar Daily life Variety Equity and Inclusion Scholar Advisory Board (DEI-SAB), and has received awards for his assistance and advocacy from the Workplace of Variety, Equity, and Inclusion and the Council for Disability Fears. Furthermore, Luke holds a BA in English and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Scientific studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.

Simone Stone received her MLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May well 2021. As an MSLIS college student, Simone worked as a graduate assistant at the undergraduate library the place she executed many jobs such as foremost instruction programs and co-chairing the Provide Your Personal Book Club plan. Furthermore, Stone served as an iSchool Ambassador and instructing assistant for the Workplace of Undergraduate Research. She was vice president of the iSchool Students of Colour. Simone earned her BA in Film and Media Scientific studies and Geography from Dartmouth College and a MFA from Chapman University. 

Frank Vitale headshot

Frank Vitale received his MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2021. Although finishing the degree, Frank worked on document digitization and technologies modernization assignments at a Fortune 500 insurance plan organization. He is closely affiliated with the Carlisle Indian School Digital Source Centre at Dickinson College and revealed analysis on each the heritage of medication and the electronic humanities. Furthermore, Frank holds a BA in Background from Dickinson College and an MSc in the Background of Science, Medicine, and Technological innovation from the University of Oxford.

Sam Kennefick Wilairat

Sam Kennefick Wilairat received her MLIS from San Jose Point out University in May well 2021. Although getting the degree, Sam worked as a graduate assistant at the Strauss Wellbeing Sciences Library on the University of Colorado Anschutz Professional medical Campus. At the Strauss Library, she taught library classes, conducted analysis consultations with nursing students, delivered reference companies, and worked on analysis assignments. Sam was also a Frictionless Information for Reproducible Research Fellow at the Open Expertise Basis from 2020 to 2021. At the Open Expertise Basis, she acquired to use resources that aid Open Science rules. Sam holds a BS in Biology from Gonzaga University and a MA in Instructing from the University of Portland.
