Shrimp scampi – Mayo Clinic

Scampi ordinarily refers to shrimp covered in butter. This version replaces fifty percent of the butter with olive oil.

  1. eight ounces uncooked spaghetti
  2. 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  3. 2 kilos substantial shrimp, peeled and deveined
  4. one tablespoon minced garlic
  5. one/4 cup chopped shallots or environmentally friendly onions
  6. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  7. one/4 cup chopped parsley
  8. one/4 teaspoon salt
  9. Floor black pepper, to flavor
  10. 2 tablespoons brandy or sherry, optional
  11. 2 tablespoons butter
