For a few days I talked far more with Cedar, Marley, Joplin, Thor, Whoopsy, and Mudro than any human. Canadian Inuit pet dogs are not a lot for conversation, but they do make excellent companions in the lifeless of wintertime. I’d eagerly inspire them up steep hills and beg them to quit when I needed a snack. In return, they’d just howl at me, constantly prepared to run.
